| Application: | Rinsing water after quenching bath,
e. g. Aquatensid BW, Aquachench |
||
| Ingredients: | High viscose polymer (e. g. poly alkaline glycol),
corrosion inhibitors (e. g. alkanolamine) |
||
| Description: | During the heating of work
pieces and the connected quenching, products are often used as shock
baths on the basis of high viscose polymer. These are distinguished by
their very good cooling qualities, which are achieved through the formation
of a reversible polymer layer on the work piece surface during the cooling.
Acid must be regularly added to the quench bath, due to the deposits
of the quench bath in the rinsing bath, and the rinsing bath must be
treated or replaced. The treatment of the rinsing water is possible with
the VACUDEST® vacuum distillation
process, due to the different boiling points and it is possible to achieve
a lasting high rinsing water quality. Only through VACUDEST® process
with vapour compression can a germ free distillate be provided to be
reused as rinsing water. |

| Practical experience: | An invariably high rinsing water quality can be
attained through distillation of rinsing water. The return of the distillate
to the rinse and the return of the concentrate to the quench bath enables
closed product circulation as well as a reduction in water consumption
and in waste disposal costs. |
